Words cannot express my emotions as I did the final walkthrough to sign off on the completion of the Homestead last weekend. We brought the good camera and tripod to capture images that are often tricky when using natural light. It rained on and off during the visit, but it didn’t matter at all to me. Rain just reminded me of the day in November 2011, that we began the reconstruction project with an old fashioned Log Raising. It was truly a grueling process and a number of times I didn’t think I would live to see it completed. But here we are and I couldn’t be more pleased. I’d like to give a special shout out to David, Sheldon, Michael & Elias, who kept me on my game and lent a hand to make sure the place looked spiffy for its debut. Also to Jim & Canjoe whose dedication to the project cannot be underestimated!
Rather than waxing existential any longer, Let me show you my favorite pictures from the now completed 1787 Seth Babb Homestead.
Cheers!
Dan
