Reunion Registration now in Progress

My apologies for the length of time it took for me to get this out. I’ll be sending via US mail to association members but I wanted to get you the info as quickly as possible. We are now ready to begin registration for this summer’s Babb Family Reunion in Philadelphia. Here is the key info you will need:

Babb Family Reunion 2014

Philadelphia, PA & Wilmington, DE

19 June 2014 – 23 June 2014

Host Hotel: Wyndham, Philadelphia Historic District ($135/night)

Group Code: 47153 for Babb Family Reunion

4oo Arch Street, Philadelphia, PA 19106 Phone – 215-923-8660

Group Reservation Link: http://www.wyndham.com/groupevents2013/47153_BABB/main.wnt

Day 1 (Jun 19): Gather in the evening in the hotel lobby followed by Dinner (Suggest Coin’s Pub in the Hotel). If you arrive early you may want to consider a trip to the Amish Countryside in Lancaster County. However, keep in mind that tours average 10.5 hours & about $160/pp (http://phillytours.us888-478-1479).

Day 2 (Jun 20): We suggest Benton’s Grill in the hotel for breakfast. A Guided tour through Philadelphia’s Historic district including sites such as Independence Hall, the Liberty Bell, Ben Franklin’s grave. Followed by a nearby lunch (TBD) and tour the US Mint or on your own in the afternoon. Gather for dinner (TBD).

Day 3 (Jun 21): We are awash in opportunities of places to visit in the Wilmington area and the agenda is still in flux. However, a few things are certain. We will travel together by bus and visit the Old Swedes Church where Thomas & Bathsheba were married. We also hope to visit the nearby library where the marriage record is kept and will travel through the Brandywine Hundred area where they made their home. We have several exiting opportunities we are following up on and promise you won’t be disappointed! D

ay 4 (Jun 22): Farewell breakfast at Benton’s Grill.

Registration Cost: $100/pp (see next page) Reunion capacity is 36 people due to the size of the bus.

Note: All the meals are optional though most people choose to eat together. We will offer a few restaurant options to help you along. Hotel rooms are not included, but we do have a group rate. So, in addition to your registration for the reunion, please don’t forget to book your hotel room quickly as the area is a very popular summer destination. By April the rooms will be all gone!

Let me know if you have questions.

Dan
