I’m at the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport waiting on a little jet liner to take me away to Tennessee! Once in Greeneville I’ll be climbing the stairs to the second floor of Seth Babb’s 1787 Homestead for the very first time!!!

There are several final decisions that need to be made in order to complete the Babb Family Association’s work on Seth’s place.

There are 3 key tasks regarding The Association’s work that I hope to accomplish while there revolving around the interior wall restoration, shoring up the stairs and patching a couple of leaky spots in the roof. We will make decisions on exactly what to do for each of these.

Additionally, I’ll be meeting with the Directors of the Park Association and Greene Museum to craft a final fund raising campaign that will allow for the construction of the chimney and redevelopment of the remaining park.
