We got confirmation today that the Log Raising will be held November 4-6th. I don’t have particulars on what will happen each day, but I believe we will do the majority of the work on Saturday the 5th. The roof will be placed by professionals the following week. The piers will be put in place in the coming weeks in preparation.

Stay: at the General Morgan Inn. It is a short walk from the construction site and also the site of the 2004 Babb Family Reunion. It is a beautiful historic hotel in downtown greenville. More info here.

Air Travel: Knoxville is the closest airport (TYS). plan on arriving by Friday so you don’t miss out on the fun. Book now to save money. Greeneville is about an hour away, so you will want to plan for a rental car or other means to get there from the airport.

Registration: There is no registration or fee for this event. Just let me know you are coming so we know who to expect. See you at the “Babb Reconstruction of 2011.”
