Daniel Morgan, along with Morgan’s Riflemen of the 11th Virginia Regiment, played a vital role in the American Revolutionary War. Morgan’s Riflemen were an elite light infantry unit equipped with cutting-edge rifles, giving them an effective range twice that of the average infantryman. Their contributions during the war were significant, and their legacy lives on.
Note: This is the same person for which the General Morgan Inn, in Greeneville, TN is named for.
