Babbs of Somerset, England

As many of you know I’ve been researching the Babbs of Somerset, England. I’ve been trying to fill out the 500 year long lineage that dates back to Robert Babb (born 1480) in the tiny town of Pitminster.

Today I believe I may have reached a living descendant and have reached out to establish contact. It’s very exciting…at least to me it is. 🙂

If anyone who reads my blog is a member of this lineage, please reach out to me privately. I’d like to go over your branch of the tree that I’m preparing for my upcoming book on the Babbs of England.

  1. Hi. I was very interested in your comments on Babb Unabridged. My Grandfather Earnest Babb was born in Exeter in 1890. He came to Australia in the early 1900’s and fought in the first world war. He lived most of his life in Far North Queensland married his childhood sweetheart who he bought out to Australia after the war. They raised 3 children and have many descendants still living in the area. I would be very interested in getting a copy of your book if at all possible. Thanking you. Janette Jackson (Gran daughter of Ernest Babb)
